ABOUT THE JOURNAL

• Journal of Environmental Technology provides an expensive forum for dissemination of ideas, practical development and research findings in the field of environmental design and technology. The journal is published under the auspices of the School of Environmental Technology (SET), The Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. It is a primary outlet for articles of high quality concerning all levels of natural and built environment. The journal reflects and welcomes a wide range of scientific, theoretical and empirical approaches especially those that debate the natural, social and cultural values which inform the typical human environment, offer illustrated case studies, analyse and exemplify specific design practices in all sectors of the environment and that critically engage with the past, present and future of the experiential knowledge of the environment.

SET JET is published twice a year, i.e. June and November.Articles to be published in June must reach the Technical Editor by the end of January of the same year, while those for November should be received by July of the same year.

• The Journal of Environmental Technology (SETJET) is an international academic journal in Nigeria authored, reviewed, edited and published by the School of Environmental Technology of The Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. It is targeted to promoting and disseminating scientific breakthrough of the environmentalists and related allied professionals in the built environment by providing high quality peer review articles with qualitative editorial, publishing, leadership and learning experiences. SETJET publishes original research, editorial, case studies, research letters and reflections that merit the required standard of publication authored by academia and professional in built environment and related disciplines.

INSTRUCTION FOR AUTHORS

Format of Paper

The paper should include: Title of paper, Abstract , Introduction, Materials and methods, Results and Discussion, Tables and Figures, Conclusion, Acknowledgement, References.Each author should state clearly full first and last name, affiliation, (e.g. Department or Division, Institution, Address, State etc.)If there is more than one author, indicate to whom communications should be sent.

Abstracts of not more than 250 words should be submitted along with the full paper online as a Microsoft Word document. All abstracts should have five (5) key words.

Acknowledgements:

All submissions will be acknowledged electronically.

The Text

The text should be about 9000 words or a maximum of 20 pages including figures and tables. The article should be typed on one side of the paper in Times New Roman 12point, double spaced with ample margins and should bear the title of the contri­butor(s) and their names. All pages must be numbered. Footnotes to the text should be avoided. The full postal address, including e-mail address and phone number of the author for correspondence should beincluded.

Refereeing

Contributors should note that because the Journal is refereed; there is a delay between acknowledgement of receipt, and a decision to accept, reject, or specify amend­ments. All submissions are read by the Principal Editor, refereed by at least one co-editor, and a member of the Edi­torial Board, the Overseas Consultants, or exceptionally, an outside expert. Their views are considered by the Editorial Board, or when circumstances demand, by a delegated min­ority that meets more frequently.

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be included as part of the text and numbering should be in Arabic numerals. Photographic prints (if any) should be of high quality.

Authors are strongly instructed to stick to the APA REFERENCING STYLE –The references should be listed in full at the end of the paper. The template for citation is provided below:
